MDDC

MDDC formed when Micaela & Daniel met as freshmen at NYU's Tisch School Of The Arts. Their first film collaboration, aptly titled First began their trilogy of films exploring contemporary urban life, tapping into the surface pleasures of the city and the radical new interconnectedness of our ever-more online existences.

2019 saw Negative Two the second film in their trilogy receive a commission from Manhattan's The Shed arts space and go on to be featured as an official selection at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Negative Two and their subsequent film 38 which concludes their trilogy have been exhibited in the United States and abroad at theater venues and museums including The New York Film Festival, MoMa PS1, MOCA LA, The Shed, White Columns, 47 Canal, Sheffield Doc/Fest and Le Cinema Club.

In 2020 MDDC were MacDowell Fellows and were recipients of the Jerome Artist Fellowship for 2021-22. The pair now seek to bring their filmmaking sensibility " which toggles between loneliness and connection, boredom and hyperstimulation, capturing the emotional effect of the mediated and hybrid way we experience the world"  to the world of commercials and branded content

They are currently developing their first feature film.
