OGHALÉ ALEX

Oghalé Alex is a Nigerian-American multi-hyphenate- A Creative Director & Photographer based in London and Los Angeles, Oghalé is also the founder of minimal fashion label, ISOKO.

Oghalé's work is largely inspired by the concept of calm. He looks to create soothing juxtapositions between his subjects and their environments, paying special attention to posing and movement with soft colors being a key element of every frame. Through these contrasts and his disarming, welcoming imagery Oghalé aims to use the vehicle of photography to change negative perceptions surrounding Black Men & Women.  He is involved in all aspects of the image making process, from concept, art direction, casting and editing, a true one-man force.

Oghalé is self taught and despite his fairly recent introduction to photography has built up a highly impressive body of work. Clients have included Alo Yoga, Cold Laundry, Etsy and His work has been published in magazines including Nataal and Viewpoint Colour Magazine.

In 2020 Oghalé was shortlisted for the prestigious PALM Photo Prize.  His works are currently exhibiting at the National Portrait Gallery of England as well as Vogue's Photovogue Festival.
